Join Dean Shavit, ACSA and author of Mac HelpMate, for a day-long workshop delving into two amazing command-line tools: rysnc and Imapsync. Rsync is the same underlying command line tool used by Carbon Copy Cloner and other backup solutions, but if you can learn to use it directly, you can do all sorts of truly amazing things such as remote backups over the internet, keeping two folders in sync, automated scheduled backups, bootable backups, file system snapshots, and even client / sever backups over a network. With an understanding of how of rsync works, you can easily create your own remote backup service for your customers helping protect their data and open new revenue streams for your consulting business.

The workshop will then cover how to get set up with and use Imapsync, a solution for moving IMAP accounts from one server to another, with all folders and sent / receive dates intactvery . Whether you want to migrate a single user or an entire company from Exchange to Kerio, or from Googlemail to Mac OS X Server Mail, or from Communigate to Zimbra, Imapsync makes the process easy and safe for your customers.
