Support for the Free (Public) Version of Mac HelpMate Print E-mail

If you downloaded the public (free) version of Mac HelpMate, and would like support for it, here are your options:

Telephone Support:

There is no telephone support available for the public version of Mac HelpMate. Please do not call - our only response will be to call you back and tell you to email your request instead.

Contact Mac HelpMate support using the contact form here.

So if you're reading this, there's no reason to call, unless you are interested in purchasing a subscription and have some questions - in that case, phone calls are welcome.

Email Support:

Use the contact form on this site, or email support [at] machelpmate.com

Assistance with removing scheduled tasks:

Method 1: disable the scheduled tasks from the Mac HelpMate application

1) download the latest version of Mac HelpMate from this site

2) launch Mac HelpMate

3) click the "lock" icon in the lower right hand corner and enter a username and password for a user with administrator rights to your computer - if you do not have administrator rights, you'll need to contact someone who knows that username / password combination for your computer

4) click the "auto" tab

5) find "Autoexecute" and set the popup menu below that text to "Never"

6) find "Perform Tasks"

7) click the "Never" button below "Perform Tasks"

Now any scheduled maintenance scripts will no longer run.

Method 2: use our provided untinstaller

1) download the uninstaller from here

2)  unzip and open the uninstaller package

3) enter a username and password for a user with administrator rights to your computer when prompted by the uninstaller - if you do not have administrator rights, you'll need to contact someone who knows that username / password combination for your computer

4) when the uninstaller completes, any scheduled maintenance scripts will no longer run
